The secret to this process lies in a new material called Cerinate Feldspathic Porcelain.
This type of porcelain is so strong that it can be made to a thinness
of 1/3 mm (about the thickness of a contact lens). Conventional
porcelain must usually be at least 1 full mm thick. And yet the Feldspathic porcelain is strong enough that the manufacturers give a
five year warrantee against breakage.
